Fight For You 

                                            

 

Surrounded by countless voices, blinded by too many choices,

Beleaguered and confused, I took my chances.

And carelessly said good bye.
 

With tears in your eyes and a faintly quivering smile, you softly whispered;

I love you too much, I can’t give you up. No, I won’t  give you up.
But you were too kind to let go and set me free.
 

Forgive me if my pride got in the way and took a step further away.

But I didn‘t mean to hurt you, I realized I can’t go on living my life without you.
Believe me it’s true… oh, it is so true.
 

Let me breath from your love and find strength in your quiet gentleness

Then someday I will face my fears and fight my battles for you.
One day learn to stand tall and live a life worthy of you.

It doesn’t matter what they say, I'll fight for you anyway,

Take care of you… walk with you… grow old with you…
But I hope it’s not too late to let you know.
